I’m sick, my dog had to have surgery today and I got a nasty tick bite at an Earth Day event over the weekend. Needless to say, wedding planning is on the wayside. However, this weekend before the demon flu bug and the real life tick bug grabbed hold of me, Ohio and I made a drive down to Berkeley so I could introduce him to the world of Paper-Source.
Paper-Source is the ultimate in paper stores. Its pretty much heaven for a paper obsessed gal like myself. They sell everything from enclosures to cardstock to envelop liners to stamps…pretty much all things paper related. I wanted Ohio to go with me so he could see for himself how overwhelming wedding invites can be and so I could get some honest opinions from him on what he likes and doesn’t like when it comes to wedding invites. I also wanted him to get an idea of how much things cost- because really, until this trip Ohio has been clueless.
Our trip was a complete success. We spent over an hour and a half in the shop talking with different sales people and looking at pretty much everything. They even showed us how to make our own envelope liners and tricks to embossing (who knew it was so easy!??) . Ohio was a bit overwhelmed, but I think it actually got him more excited about things…..
We ended up finding a great color of diagonal pocketfolds that Ohio really liked- at 50% off. So he bought them! Besides the work he had our jeweler do to restore my heirloom engagement ring, this is actually his first wedding purchase. I was very proud of him!
Now that we know the pocketfolds we are using, I can get started designing our actual invites!
