The week of our anniversary, I ended up working 7 days in a row, averaging at least 12 hours a day. I was on a tight deadline to get a million things done at the office, and was really stressed out and exhusted.
On our anniversary I came home from work really late at night and was so tired and feeling so sad that I wasn’t able to celebrate the occasion with Ohio.
So imagine when my surprise when Ohio met me after work with the most thoughtful gift!
Several yards of fabric to practice sewing with!
Of course I totally started crying when he handed me the fabrics and told me the story of how he went to the fabric store and asked the ladies who worked there what fabrics he should buy for someone who was just learning to use a sewing machine.
He reminded me that my work event was almost over- and that once it was I would finally have time to work on my wedding sewing projects and that he was so excited to see what I was able to do with these fabrics.
Ohio's anniversary gift was not only super sweet- but it reminded me of a few things including the fact that simple things can be the sweetest things, and that I want my wedding to be simple and sweet. I don’t want to get so carried away by planning all the details that I forget to enjoy all the sweet moments that happen along the way!
